Mailing lists (from AAD)
Groups imported from your Entra directory. Pick any of these as recipients when emailing a report or case file — each expands to its members. Manage the groups themselves in your Microsoft 365 / Entra admin center; sync mirrors them here.

Custom distribution lists
Named recipient lists you manage here (separate from AAD groups) — e.g. “Exec stakeholders”, “IR on-call”. They appear in the email recipient picker and expand to their members when sending.

Roles are assigned in User Management. Enforced server-side on every mail action.
